OKEHAMPTON woman Jenny Sampson retired from the Cheltenham and Gloucester in Okehampton last week after more than 25 years working with the firm. Mrs Sampson, who was born and bred in Okehampton, retired after 26 years working in the Fore Street branch. She was presented with a sum of money as a leaving gift, which she has put towards flights to visit family in Australia for three months. C & G manager Chris Hurley said: ?She is a local girl who spent all her working life in Okehampton. ?She really enjoyed the job and one of the things she is going to miss is that cameraderie she had with all the local people who she knew and dealt with.?
