LIFTON Cottage Garden Society and WI 25th annual horticultural show was held pn the first Thursday in August in Lifton Church Hall and proved to be a successful and happy event. Sixty-eight exhibitors entered 325 entries and the judges were impressed with the quality of the produce. Entries in the floral art, cookery, handicraft, photography and children?s classes were also of a high standard. At the evening presentation of the cups. Chairman Jean Greenhalgh introduced president Anthony Phillips who thanked all who had entered. The Rev Cathy Arscott spoke of her delight at seeing so many entries and presented cups to the winners.
