THERE was toe-tapping entertainment in Tavistock recently, as The Wharf played host to 'Water Marks', a music and dance event in celebration of the John Taylor Festival.

Two short talks were given by Rosie Allen-Perdikeas and Dr Tom Greeves, who gave a brief overview of the life and achievements of John Taylor, before the music and dancing began.

The event showcased a number of performances from Trudi Massey's School of Dance, jazz singer Sarah Rake, Tribal Fire Belly Dancers, Tamar Tango Dancers and the Tavy Tars folk group among others.

The event was organised by Rosie Allen-Perdikeas and Julia Vella and was funded by Dr Ann Pulsford's grants from Tavistock and Villages Initiative and Dartmoor Local Enterprise Action Fund.

The evening was deemed a success and was enjoyed by audience and participants alike.
