NATIONAL compost expert Nicky Scott will be on hand to give top tips at a compost day in Chagford next week.
Nicky is teaming up with West Devon Council to promote composting in the borough at the event being held from 10am to 1pm tomorrow (Friday) in the Jubilee Hall, Chagford.
Nicky is an executive member of the National Community Composting Network and is based at Proper Job community business in Chagford. Copies of his book ?Composting for all? will be available on the morning free of charge.
On show will be compost bins of all shapes and sizes, along with ideas about what to put in them for the best results and a sample of the end product.
Jane Savage, West Devon Borough Council?s recycling officer, said: ?Everybody with a garden can compost and it?s easier than you might think. Why buy compost when you can make it yourself for free??
