A CARD reader and teaching medium will be the latest speaker in the new autumn programme of the Awareness Group which meets at the Ockment Centre. The group held its first meeting of the new programme earlier this month where the role of the sun in people?s lives was discussed by a leading astrological consultant. Next Friday (September 23) from 7.30pm at the centre, Jacki Humphries, a consultant member of the British Astrological and Psychic Society for intuitive card reading and a working and teaching medium, will give a talk and demonstration. The aim of the Awareness Group is to share knowledge and help people develop a greater awareness of natural ways to healthy living. The group is also holding a coffee morning in the Market Hall, Okehampton between 10am and noon on Thursday, September 29. Other subjects being tackled during the programme in October are the effects of eclipses in 2005/06 on personal patterns and planetary changes and sustainable organic futures as an alternative to the agenda of multinational corporations.
