AT 6.45am on December 20, my wife and four other ladies were standing at the bus stop at Yelverton in inches of snow and cold temperatures and waiting for a bus.
One lady told us she had been waiting one hour for a bus.
At this point a 4x4 vehicle stopped near the bus stop. The lady driver got out and said she was going to Plymouth and if anybody wanted a lift she would gladly take them. This offer was eagerly accepted by all.
The dear lady driver had to then arrange the interior of the vehicle, namely, move luggage from the front to the rear and adjust the safety straps for her happy passengers.
I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of my wife, and the other ladies who were given the lift and taken to their destinations, to thank the lady driving the 4x4 and wish her a Happy New Year.
