AN AFTERNOON and evening of fun and entertainment is to be held in Hatherleigh on Saturday, September 26 in aid of Exeter Leukaemia fund (ELF) and Hatherleigh Community Centre.
The evening is in memory of Susan Lascelles, who died last year after suffering from non Hodgkin's lymphoma and acute leukaemia.
Children's entertainment starts at 2.30pm and will include a magician with a Punch and Judy show, a bouncy castle and horse racing.
Afternoon tea will also be served from 4.30pm.
Entry for adults will be £2 with children free.
The evening entertainment will be provided by the Steve Tucker All Star Jazz Band.
The band of six talented musicians from across the South West will be performing pieces from their extensive repertoire from a wide variety of genres.
The jazz evening will be from 7pm to 11pm at £5 per head.
There will also be a licensed bar.
Dr Miles Joyner, an ELF trustee said: 'Susie's enthusiasm, determination and zest for life continues to be an inspiration to us all and she always believed in the importance of community.
'This event I am sure will be great fun, raising valuable funds for ELF and the community centre.'
Tickets are available from the ELF office at the Haematology Centre in the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital or on the door.
