CHAGFORD will host an extravaganza of festive food, stylish fashion, hand-made arts and crafts, superb gift ideas and live entertainment on Tuesday, December 9 from 6.30pm until late.

Chagford's shops, Square and Market House will again be bedecked with lights and Christmas trees at this year's late night event. The wide array of independent shops is once again putting on an evening where thousands of delightful gifts will be on offer for the whole family, with something for all budgets.

Festive entertainment will bring the streets alive from 6.30pm. Father Christmas will of course be there with his reindeer and children can visit him in his sparkling grotto in The Courtyard. There will prizes for the best dressed elf and fairy, so get those pointy ears and wands out!

Bands and choirs will be treating late-night shoppers to some musical merriment and local estate agent Philip Fowler, who has kindly agreed to compere the evening, will be entertaining us with some stylish crooning of his own.

There will be a variety of delicious food and drinks on offer, including the popular hog roast. Hot chestnuts will be roasting and mulled wine and mince pies will also be aplenty.

The Jubilee Hall will be hosting its Christmas market from 5pm to 8pm. Shops will be buzzing until 8pm and then late-night shoppers can move on to enjoy drinks and some supper at one of Chagford's eight pubs and restaurants.  A warm welcome is guaranteed to embrace the spirit of the season.
