AFTER an inspection of the Yelverton Bowling Club's green by members, it has been decided to cancel its opening day on Saturday, April 16 and postpone it until Saturday, April 30 at 2pm.

Club president Chris Pearn will have the honour of bowling the club's first wood of the season. Coaching will be available to anyone who would like to have a go at the sport.

The club is in Meavy Lane, Yelverton, next to the Memorial Hall.
