THE Mid Devon Patient and Public Involvement Forum has been asked to seek the views of the public of Mid Devon about the local provision of out of hours emergency NHS treatment in the area. Devon County Council health overview and scrutiny committee are investigating this Devon wide issue and want to hear from people who have experienced problems accessing GP services, minor injuries units, accident and emergency units and psychiatric services during the out of hours period. They want to know from the public if there are any particular periods where access to out of hours services is more difficult. They also want to know if anyone has experienced problems with the standard of care received during the out of hours period, and also is there enough information provided about out of hours services in your area? If you have any suggestions for improving out of hour?s services in your area they would like to hear from you. Any concerns that are shared with the forum will treated confidentially; anyone taking part doesn?t even have to put their name and address on correspondence. The forum will collate the relevant information and pass it on to the scrutiny committee as evidence for their investigation. The forum can be contacted at 14 Bridgeland St, Bideford EX39 2QE 01237 424000 or [email protected]">[email protected] To find out more about PPI Forums, the national website is http://www.cppih.org">www.cppih.org
