STUDENTS at Kelly College are again celebrating a 100% pass rate in their GCE A-level results, with more than 79% of those being at grades A to C.

Rufus Hammerton achieved four straight A grades in biology, physics, maths and chemistry, enabling him to secure his place at the Royal Veterinary College, London, to study veterinary science.

Darcey Ball gained three A grade A-levels in mathematics, physics and religious education. Darcey has secured a place at the London School of Economics and Political Science to study social policy and sociology.

Alice Kneen from Yealmpton gained an A* in chemistry, and A grades in biology and history. She will be taking a gap year to complete her veterinary work experience.

Jonathan Croft from Tavistock gained an A* in design and technology, and A grades in mathematics and physics. He also gained an AS Level in chemistry. Jonathan is going to Bath University to study civil and architectural engineering.

Kate Newman from Tavistock achieved an A* in chemistry along with A grades in both biology and mathematics. She is planning to take a gap year and will be applying to study medicine next year.

Cameron Brodie, Will Glover, Miles Ross and Alex Shephard have gained their BTec National Diploma in Sport (Performance and Excellence).

Headmaster Dr Graham Hawley said 'These are very pleasing results and the students and staff can be very pleased with all they have achieved. They have all worked very hard and they richly deserve their success.

'This year's leavers have gained places on a wide variety of university courses which include chemistry, English literature, mathematics, history, environmental management, psychology, politics and history, sport development, sport coaching, veterinary science and zoology, to name but a few.

'I wish them all the very best as they move on to the next stage of their education.'
