THE fire service received a call reporting a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A386 at Grenofen early on Saturday morning.

A crew from Tavistock attended to find all persons were free and clear of the vehicle when they arrived at 6.22am. They made the vehicle safe and left the incident in the hands of police.

l A CREW from Yelverton Fire Station stopped to help a driver whose vehicle had flipped over on the Princetown road.

The crew was on its way back from a call on Saturday, when crew members spotted a Land Rover that had lost a wheel and flipped over. They helped the driver put the spare wheel on and turned the vehicle back onto all four wheels to prevent the fuel tank leaking diesel and then helped move it off the road.

l A FIRE crew from Tavistock attended an incident in which a car had tipped onto its roof just before 6am on Monday along Crowndale Road, near Shillamill. The crew found the car on the road on its roof. All persons were clear of the vehicle, which crews made safe.

l FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue someone locked in a room at a property in Tavistock in the early hours of Saturday.

A crew from Tavistock attended the incident after a report of a vulnerable female locked in a room in Plymouth Road just before 12.30am. She was released safely by the firefighters.
