ONCE again the mindless few win. These few who were dared or found it a big kick, decided to remove goal-nets, line-marking machine, line-marker, wheelbarrow and tools, amongst other things, from the Okehampton Argyle Football Club shed and then set fire to them in the stand.

Having just applied to the Devon County League for promotion to encourage and give this town a better quality of football, we now find ourselves up against it to financially survive, yet alone find the costs to get into the county league.

I hope these few will go around with their heads held high, as once again they have not only spoilt things for the club, its players and spectators but have also shown Devon what a vandalised town Okehampton has become.

So walk our vandalised streets with your heads held high and boast of your handiwork. But if you really do feel that big go into the police station and tell them that you are one of these mindless few. Go on, I dare you!
