MAY I, through your paper, express my grateful thanks to all who contributed towards the £888.76 collected for The Army Benevolent Fund on Friday, August 30.

The very generous givers, the willing and cheerful helpers and, not least, your newspaper for its support.

With your help and that of like minded supporters in the country, the Army Benevolent fund is able to alleviate distress in the ex-army population to the tune of some £7.5 million each year.
