LOCAL residents are being asked to come forward if they witnessed some significant damage being caused to a house, fence, shed and garden equipment in Hatherleigh.
On Monday and Tuesday, February 6 and 7, a health and safety visit was carried out at an address in Hatherleigh, owned by a housing association. The property was having roof repairs done and a sub-contractor had been brought in to erect scaffolding.
The inspection found the scaffolding was not of an adequate standard and the main contractor required it all to be removed.
Some time after that was done a lot of damage was caused to the property and PC Evans would like to hear from anyone who has information about this. CR/12872/17.
