THREE people have admitted offences after police busted a cannabis farm with links to a Facebook drug ‘tuck shop’.
Officers swooped on a small set-up in the hayloft of a farm in a rural location near Tavistock.
Some of the items in pictures released by police in May last year appear to be bearing the logo of Mr Eat Your Green’s.
A Facebook page of the same name, also showing the logo, appears to show cannabis-related food items.
Jamie Taylor, aged 28, Armie Valentine, aged 30 and 27-year-old Cleo Batchelor appeared at Plymouth Crown Court more than a year after the police found the crop.
It was uncovered as police carried out unrelated enquiries at a farm at Heathfield near Tavistock.
Taylor, of Launceston, pleaded guilty to possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply on May 31 last year. He also admitted supplying the drug between July 1, 2017, and June 1, 2018. Taylor finally pleaded guilty to producing cannabis on or before May 31 last year.
Valentine, of Bethnal Green, London, admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class B drug between July 2017 and June 2018.
Batchelor, of Gunnislake, pleaded guilty to allowing premises to be used for growing cannabis.
Officers from Tavistock Police’s response team attended the farm. They discovered a tent full of cannabis plants and other drug-related paraphernalia.
Emma Cross, for the Crown Prosecution Service, said Taylor had played a leading role in the drug-dealing operation. She added that his co-defendants had a lesser role in the cannabis growing and supply. None of them had previous convictions.
Judge Paul Cook adjourned sentence on the trio for probation reports to be prepared. He warned Taylor that the fact he was asking for reports did not mean he was not considering sending him to prison. The trio were released on bail until July 11.
