A TAVISTOCK man accused of raping a girl aged between 13 and 15 years old in Kingsbridge will stand trial at Plymouth Crown Court at 10am on Monday, February 29.

Dane Guppy, 26, faces a total of five charges relating to sexual offences which allegedly took place between May 1 and November 12, 2014.

They include an alleged sexual assault on a female and sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15 years in Ivybridge, plus two allegations of grooming involving a girl under 16 years of age in Ivybridge and Kingsbridge.

Guppy was sent for trial when he appeared before Torquay magistrates on Thursday afternoon. Bail was granted on various conditions, including that has no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18 years.
