VANDALISM to vehicles and a substantial theft from a Transit van are among the crimes in the Tavistock area this week.

• A SUBSTANTIAL amount of equipment was stolen from a white Ford Transit van parked secure and unattended on Whitchurch Road in Tavistock, between 6pm on February 18 and 8am on February 19.

Property stolen included a radio, hedge trimmer, power tools and drills, batteries and an electric planer, collectively worth approximately £1,260. CR/014952/18.

• A GREY Mitsubishi Colt had its driver’s side front window smashed and a handbag was stolen while parked in Postbridge between noon and 12.45pm on February 25. Cards, driving license, mobile phone and £200 cash were stolen. CR/016900/18.

• A TYPE of green liquid was poured on to a green Ford Fiesta, causing damage, while it was parked on Modyford Walk, Buckland Monachorum, between 4pm on February 22 and 4.30pm on February 23. CR/016418/18.

• NUMEROUS Calor gas bottles were stolen from Cornwall Farmers at West Devon Business Park between 4pm on February 25 and 8.10am on February 26. The total number of bottles stolen, or cost, is not known. CR/017084/18.

• A SILVER BMW, parked on Old Exeter Road in Tavistock, had both its front tyres slashed between 3.30pm on February 24 and 8.15am on February 26. Cost is not known. CR/017096/18.
