POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident on the A386 which had the potential to be a ‘fatal road accident’.

On May 28 at 8.45pm, a person in a white BMW 1 Series Coupe was caught on dash cam footage (pictured) driving dangerously on the A386 travelling towards Yelverton.

The footage, caught on camera, showed the vehicle over take dangerously several times over solid white lines - with one incident taking place by the turning to Clearbrook.

Police received the footage and are currently trying to get a clear image of the number plate but would like people to come forward if they saw the white BMW, which had black wheels and black tinted windows, driving dangerously.

Sgt Dixon from Tavistock Police Station said that the incident by the Clearbrook turning was a ‘potential fatal road traffic accident waiting to happen’.
