A 58-YEAR-old Okehampton woman has appeared in court charged in connection with a £186,000 holiday fraud.

Susan Lee is accused over a five-year period of falsely representing selling holidays to potential customers to make a gain for herself.

Lee did not enter a plea when she appeared at Exeter Magistrates’ Court. She was granted conditional bail and will next appear before a judge at Exeter Crown Court next month.

Prosecutor David Barnes told the court there were 28 victims and the total amount involved in the alleged fraud was £186,000.

The fraud charge is said to have been committed in Okehampton between October 2010 and October 2015.
