A MAN was taken to hospital following a collision on the A386 at Grenofen around noon on February 20.

A white Mitsubishi vehicle ended up in a hedge after leaving the A386 around 11.50am, just past Grenofen on the way to Tavistock.

Firefighters from Tavistock assisted the man from the vehicle due to its position on the road and made the vehicle safe.

A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall police said: ‘The male driver is not thought to have been injured in the collision but has subsequently been taken to hospital by ambulance for observation due to a suspected medical episode.

‘A roadside sign was damaged and the vehicle has now been recovered.’
