POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an attempted burglary at a property in Buctor Park, Tavistock, in the early hours of the morning on October 6. A woman was alerted to the incident after she heard her dogs barking and then heard voices outside the bathroom window. When the woman went to the bathroom, she noticed the window was open and items had been knocked off the window ledge. Police said the attempted burglary occurred between 1.55am and 2.10am. CASH, totalling £100, was stolen from the footwell of a vehicle parked near the Warren House Inn, near Postbridge, between 5.40pm to 6.40pm on October 6. The thief / thieves gained access by smashing the side and rear windows of the vehicle by unknown means. CR/086456/17.

ITEMS were stolen from a vehicle parked near the Warren House Inn, near Postbridge. Items included a black handbag, debit card, cheque book and a Samsung mobile. The rear passenger window was smashed and the items were stolen from the boot of the car between 4.30pm and 5pm on October 9. CR/087489/17.

A QUANTITY of brass and copper items were removed from an outbuilding in Lewdown between 12.01am to 11.59pm on October 5. The items, most of which have now been recovered, were removed by unknown means. Police would like anyone who saw anything suspicious at the time of the theft to contact them quoting CR/086296/17.

A MOTORBIKE has been reported to have damaged a section of the course at Tavistock Golf Club. The bike drove onto the course and damaged the grass, between 7.30pm on October 6 and 8am on October 7. CR/086562/17.

A VACANT property on Jordan Lane, Horrabridge, was damaged between noon on October 12 to 4pm on October 15. Police said that people entered the property via the cellar doors and caused a substantial amount of damage. CR/089480/17.
