POLICE have increasing concerns for a high-risk missing person last seen at Sheepstor Wednesday afternoon (July 31).

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: ‘Police have increasing concerns for Peter Lawrey, a 51-year-old man who has gone missing from Roborough, Plymouth.

‘Peter was last seen at Sheepstor on Dartmoor at 2pm on Wednesday, July 31.’

Reports on social media page Sheepstor Hub said that the Dartmoor Mountain Search and Rescue team had set up a mobile headquarters at Burrator Reservoir Car Park yesterday (Thursday).

It was also reported that during the evenings of Wednesday and Thursday, the HM Coastguard helicopter hovered over houses in the Sheepstor village as the search intensified.

Peter is described as a white man, 5ft 8-9ins tall, of stocky build with straight hair in a bob style. He was wearing a grey T-shirt and blue jeans with black walking boots, and was carrying a black rucksack.

Anyone who has seen Peter or knows of his current whereabouts is asked to call police via 999, quoting log 441 of 310719.
