TWO young swimmers from Tavistock completed a massive 2,000-metre swim last week, in a bid to raise lots of money for charity.

Callum Sherrell and Adam Jauffur, both 12, swam the impressive distance at Meadowlands Pool raising funds for Lepra.

Both boys attend Devonport High School but live and swim in Tavistock.

It was the first time either of the boys had swam such a great distance — Callum managed to complete the 80 lengths in 56 minutes and Adam finished shortly after in one hour 13 minutes.

They have so far managed to raise £250 for the charity and are still collecting donations.
