THIRTEEN brave volunteers braved the cold weather and forecasted rain last Saturday for the Tidy Tavi litterpick.

With a smaller group of volunteers, the usual Tavistock routes were addressed around the Wharf and car parks, bus station, garden, town centre and Pixon Lane, and the riverside walk.

In all 20 bags of litter were collected from around the town.

More volunteers are being sought for the group, in particular, helpers to lead litterpicking teams.

If anyone can spare the first Saturday of each month and would like to be a team leader contact Cllr Jeff Moody on 01822 615522.

The next Tidy Tavi litterpick will be on Saturday, March 1 at the Wharf car park at 9.50am.
