I WAS very interested to see that Tavistock College is introducing qualifications in agricultural subjects into their curriculum.

My daughter went to Tavistock College in the mid 1980s and took rural studies. There were a range of animals there at the time, including hens and goats. Her only school prize was awarded for looking after the school goats, which were made redundant a few years after she left.
