DESPITE a misty start, 150 walkers turned out for Dartmoor Rescue Group's fifth annual Lych Way Walk last Sunday.
The 14-mile trek started at the Bellever Woods car park and finished with a well earned rest and refreshments at the Lydford House Hotel.
Every team completed the course, despite navigational problems caused by the mist.
The event raised more than £600 for the DRG, which rescues people who are injured or lost on the moors.
Sue Britten, secretary of the Plymouth section, said: 'We are absolutely delighted with the success of the walk and would like to thank all the participants.'
The Dartmoor Rescue Group is divided into four sections based in Okehampton, Tavistock, Ashburton and Plymouth.
They rely entirely on charitable donations, and provide a rescue service throughout Devon and East Cornwall including standby cover for organised events such as Ten Tors.
