Walkham Valley v TACC
BATTING first, Walkham put on an impressive 133 runs in the allotted 20 overs. This was the highest 20-over total in the short history of the club. R Berry and S Belt were the two top batsmen, both retiring with 28 and 25 respectively.
P Sturrock - better known for his skills with a larger ball! - opened for TACC and set a blistering scoring rate, assisted by the fast outfield.
As the game neared its end, it was obvious that the result was going to very close.
Although Walkham bowled well at the end, TACC won the match with only four balls left .
Belt 1 for 4 and Shutt 2 for 7 were the most effective Walkham bowlers.
An enjoyable match played in an excellent spirit.
