IT was another good year of A-level results for Shebbear College — headmaster Bob Barnes is delighted that overall pupils achieved a 96% pass rate with 60% at A and B grades.
Of particular note this year was the 100% pass rate for the girls, of which 46% were grade A, which is above the national average.
Individually, there were some outstanding results, most notably, Mayu Otsuka achieving four straight As, and Suzie McGeorge and Ruth Hillier both gaining three straight As and an A at AS level.
Although all subjects showed strong results, the science and maths departments topped the league with 73% of passes at grades A
and B.
Mr Barnes said: 'I congratulate all those pupils who once again showed that their hard work produced the results they desired.'
