IAN Langbridge, Okehampton RFC's club captain for the coming season, organised a Family Tag Day on Saturday at the club.
The idea was to have a fun day based on tag rugby and raise some money for the Exeter Leukaemia Fund charity.
Players taking part represented all age groups at the club and a fun tournament involving six mixed age group teams took part. There were some great and funny moments notably when the youngest players managed to side-step their older opponents and leave them standing!
A great time was had by all with a lot of good tag rugby played, and £130 was raised for the ELF charity from the team entry fees and a raffle.
Those taking part thanked Ian and all concerned with organising the day.
n The juniors registration evening will be on Friday, August 30 at the clubhouse with training and starting from Sunday, September 1.
Training for the forthcoming season has already started for the senior players, taking place at the club on Tuesdays and Thursday.
Any new players will be most welcome, just come along to one of the sessions and meet the coach, Brett Luxton, and players. For more information about the club please visit the club's website at http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/okehampton">www.pitchero.com/clubs/okehampton

There will be a sponsored lunch for vice presidents and volunteers before this game.
