A FOUR ball better ball stableford competition was held on Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club.

Winners of division one with 47 points were Ian Moore and Lee Carey (above). Second place went to Ollie Holman and Pete Kiss with a score of 46 points and third with 45 points were Evan Rees and Arnie Searle.

Division two was won by brothers Steve and John Latham with 42 points (below), closely followed by Alan Grimshaw and Mike Charlesworth in second place with 41 points. Third position went to another set of brothers, Paul and Michael MacDonald, with 39 points.

On September 12 in challenging conditions, the ladies played the Daily Mail Foursomes qualifier. The winners with 29 points were Jane Warren and Mary Keir who will go on to play in the next round in the Spring of 2013. Second were Marcia Guy and Sue Stanbury.

The President's team played against Fingle Glen in the semi-finals at Thurlstone on September 10. The ladies lost a tight match 4 and 3.
