ON Sunday two members of The Wheelie Darksiderz-Rockin Bikes took part in the Bodmin Triathlon.

This was a sprint distance event and the fifth event in the Cornwall Triathlon Series.

It consisted of a 400m pool swim, a 23 km cycle and a 5km run to finish. Nathan Newton placed fourth overall with a superb time of 1 hour 10 minutes 29 seconds and fellow team member Maria Kushnirov, in her first ever triathlon, finished in a great time of 1.35.12 and placed fourth in her age category.

Also on Sunday three members of The Wheelie Darksiderz-Rockin Bikes took part in the Glastonbury Bike Ride. Organised by The British Heart Foundation, the 48 mile cycle wound its way through the beautiful Somerset Levels.

Mel Greaves and Julian and Tom Setterington completed the challenge in 3.53.53.
