THE weekend was a very active one for many members of the Tavistock Wheelers.
Will Johnson from Clearbrook was the third
Junior in the Mid Devon Cycling Club 23 mile time trial whilE others riders ventured into Cornwall for the Portreath Circuit Road Race.
Lee Adams from Tavistock had a tremendous race and finished a creditable third and Gavin McDougall from Bridestowe was eight in a field of 40 riders. There was also a stage race at Brentor on Sunday where Josh Bullock finished 16th in a high class field. Josh has now stepped up into a higher category due to his recent win at Exeter.
Twenty five riders turned up on Sunday morning for the weekly club ride and were joined by a guest rider, Olympic silver medallist Heather Fell.
The club like to thank Heather Fell for joining them in such cold windy conditions and for being so cheerful and friendly.
The cyclists were all glad to reach the sanctuary of the Lydford Gorge Cafe and to have a hot drink and cakes after covering nearly 40 miles.
