WEST Devon A recaptured second spot in the Tavistock Snooker League table with a convincing 4-1 win over lowly Conservative C who fell back to the bottom slot.

It was pretty much ‘one way’ traffic from the start with Kevin Rich knocking in pleasing 38 and 21 breaks with no reply from Con C’s Toby Jago.

West Devon’s Morris continued his good run of form with a comfortable win over Clive Jago, with the match winner shortly following with Heathman putting Neale to the sword.

Lawrence made it four for the West Devon as he clicked into gear to comfortably beat Davey.

A face saving win for Con C came thanks to Dodd who piled yet more misery on West Devon A’s Taylor, who is not enjoying the best of runs currently.

This result sees West Devon open up a two point gap in second spot, but worryingly for Conservative C sees they slump back to the base of the table again.

Two other teams at the wrong end of the table were also battling it out with West Devon B edging out neighbours West Devon C in a tight fought 3-2 win.

The WDC team’s Williams was first on and was unable to get past the B team’s resolute skipper Gilchrist, who took his team one up.

Wannacott pulled WDC level, taking out one of the B team’s main players, Hoare, and showing what a useful addition he is to the side.

Level it remained after the next two frames were shared, with Hodge taking Horrell and John Rich with a 26 break proving too hot to handle for the WDC’s Shrimpton.

The deciding frame was all about one man, WDB’s Roger Rich. In one of his better games, Rich proceeded to pot balls to all parts of the table and did not stop until he had amassed 105 points, leaving Elliott wallowing in his wake.
