TAVISTOCK Triathlon Club had a busy weekend with members competing in three different triathlons.

Peter Moyse travelled to Barcelona to compete in the Ironman 70.3. He had to complete a 1.2mile swim in the sea, a 56 mile cycle and then a 13.1 mile run to finish. Despite the heat and rough sea conditions he completed it in a great time of 5hours 42 mins.

The club men travelled to Roadford Lake to compete their triathlon. The sprint distance consisted of a 750m swim in the lake, 20km cycle and a 5k run. Ollie Beilby finished third overall in 1.14.43, Guy Mammatt 1.26.40 13th overall, Richard Butler in 1.37.17 and Simon Allen (not pictured) 1.55.06.

Nathan Newton competed in the standard race at Roadford which was twice as far as the sprint distance and he came second overall in a superb time of 2.16.34.

The ladies of the club travelled to Wadebridge to complete a sprint distance triathlon.

This was a 400m pool swim, 24km cycle and 5km run. Hannah Colston came third female with her great time of 1.21.36, Laura Newton 1.34.03, Lindsay Hobbs 1.34.36, Emma Dooney 1.41.39 and Cassandra McDowall 1.47.04.
