MARSHALS from the Plymouth Harriers did a practice run at the weekend to familiarise themselves with the Six Moor Miles race route, with the help of some local Bere Alston Trekkers. 

The practice was for the main charity race being held on Sunday, July 30 from Leg O’ Mutton Corner, Yelverton at 10.30am. The race is in support of a local charity The Daisy Garland, who offer help and support to those whose lives are touched by epilepsy.

The race is just more than six miles over open moorland. Organisers Plymouth Harriers are hoping the event will attract more than 300 local and visiting runners.
