THREE siblings from Mount House School travelled to Surrey to compete in the National Laps Trampolining Competition.
Ollie, Evangeline and Oscar Piper travelled to the Royal Russell School in Croydon, competing against 200 other children from 21 different schools.
At the competition Ollie was crowned the Under 13 boys national laps champion. This is the fourth year Ollie has been champion.
Evangeline had one of the largest groups in the competition with 41 girls. She was lying in second place after round one and needed to trampoline her socks off to achieve gold. She managed to score a personal best in the final round to become U9 girls national laps champion.
Oscar trampolined well and only came second by 0.1 of a point — the smallest margin possible for trampolining. He was the youngest competitor at the event at only six years old and did well to achieve runner up in the U9 boys category.
Over the Easter holidays Ollie also competed in the GB elite junior diving championships at Leeds. This is the highest level junior competition in the country and is a benchmark for picking the GB junior team.
Ollie had a successful competition and came fourth in the platform event, narrowly missing out on the GB qualifying score for the Rome International.
