TAVISTOCK's Squash Team played their final game of the season with a home game against New Zapp. Tavistock were represented by Clive Marais, Nigel Eadie, Andy Howell, Richard Bache and Simon Powell. Richard got off to a good start with a 3-0 win and Simon Powell came back from 2-1 down to take his game 3-2. Andy Howell had a comfortable win but Nigel Eadie found himself in a tough match eventually losing 3-2. Clive Marais finished things off with a 3-0 win against another good player. The Tavistock man of the match was Simon Powell who stepped in at the last minute to play his first match after four months out with an injury. This was a transitional season for the team and with six wins and six losses it looks like the team will finish third. It is hoped two teams will be representing the club next season. The main final of Tavistock Squash and Racketball Club's Racketball Trophy competition was played between Nigel Eadie and Joe Kuipers, and it proved an excellent match between the two top seeds. Nigel played an aggressive attacking style and won the match 15-11, 15-13 and 15-11 to take the match. It was an entertaining match with some great rallies and shots and both players gave it everything.
