Tavistock firsts 0
TAVISTOCK faced Plympton Grammar School Old Boys in a mid-table battle, with a rather depleted side. Nevertheless spirits remained high and they accepted this was going to be a tough match.
Some good defending from town skipper Wood, George and Carr just was not enough to stop the Plymouth side, as they earned themselves an early goal and the visitirs found themselves on the back foot five minutes into the match.
Tavistock looked promising on the break, but with some good goalkeeping and solid defending from the home side, Tavistock were unable to find the back of the goal, finding themselves 3-0 down at half time.
At the start of the second half Tavistock pushed forwards, with some good linking play from Edwards, Kelly and Cowen-d'Arcy round behind the defence, but again failed to convert.
Two more goals from the home side confirmed the match was theirs, Tavistock's man of the match was Paul Mingo.
