THE Cornwall badminton team travelled to Nottingham University to compete in the National U17s four day team event — coming 28th out of 40 teams.

Three Callington players — Sam Payne, Rachael Collard and Hannah Robertson — were members of the Cornish team who took part in the ten match format. The players from across England and Northern Ireland are of international and national standard, including the current European U17 boys singles champion.

The Cornwall team beat Durham, Northumberland, Staffordshire, Guernsey and Worcestershire to achieve the final position of 28 from 40.
