OPMs A 1

TAVISTOCK fought hard in this game to come away with the three points.

Having improved in the second half of the previous week's game, after such a long period without a match, Tavistock were keen to start building some momentum.

OPMs certainly started the brighter and pinned the home side into their own half for the early stages of the game. A few breaks into the Tavistock D, never really threatened and the maturity of the back line of Cowen, Honey and Glanville allowed them to start building from the back.

Starting to get some momentum, Tavistock began to threaten and it was not long before the improving Baker hammered in the first of his goals from the top of the D.

Honey Junior was creating a lot of dominance in the midfield and was moving the ball around the pitch in a manner that the visitors were struggling to contain. The Curno duo hassled the away defence and continued to be a thorn in the OPM side.

OPMs continued to break through at times but with the athletic powers of Bradley, never managed to get into a level position and soon enough, Baker hammered in his second in similar fashion to the first.

The game ebbed and flowed and with the pitch fast freezing and becoming more an ice rink, Tavistock again capitalised where the visitors could not, and Baker scored his third and a fourth soon followed.

A consolation goal was scored by OPMs who continued to compete throughout but could not break down the Tavi defence further or the 'rock' that stood in the home side goal.
