AN inter-club tournament took place in glorious sunshine at Tavistock Tennis Club to raised funds for Children's Hospice South West.

This annual mixed doubles tournament was instigated by Mike Blagrove in memory of his wife, June.

The contestants all played a series of games against each other, gaining points along the way. The final was played by the two men and two women with the most points.

The final was won by Phil Harbottle and Tricia Locker with the runners up being Maggie Lilley and Mike Prout.

Donations to play in the tournament and donations at a club dinner raised a total of £267.70 for Children's Hospice South West.
