ON a lovely Sunday afternoon there was much anticipation in the air as North Tawton Ladies assembled at the club for their first home game of 2014.  A good crowd assembled to watch the action enjoying the spring afternoon sunshine.

North Tawton let in an early try from Penryn, who worked well to spin the ball to their fast wing to romp in for a good early score.

Penryn kept up the early pressure and pulled ahead until North Tawton finally woke up and a tight game ensued.

The teams traded tries back and forth until North Tawton put a try under the posts which was duly converted by Jo McBain and they held on to win.
