TAVISTOCK Wheelers Cycling Club plays host to a road race on Easter Sunday, March 27, around the five mile Brentor circuit.

The race has attracted an 80 rider field, with the best racers in the South West taking part.

Included in the field are members of the Tavistock Wheelers road race team, amongst them Huw Richards, Dan Strong and Ben Kirwin, while Jordan Channon will be challenging for the junior prize.

The race starts at 10am, and consists of 10 laps of the circuit with an average speed of around 25 miles per hour.

The race will use the accredited marshall scheme, which gives marshalls, together with the race commissionaires, the authority to adopt rolling road closures at the three main road junctions, minimising disruption to traffic while protecting the safety of riders.
