Devon B Tavistock v Axminster TAVISTOCK lost the toss and found themselves batting. Aaron Churchill and Ian Grey gave them a solid start of 45 before Churchill was bowled by Pile. Ian Grey continued to prosper reaching 49 before being brilliantly caught one handed to deny him a well deserved fifty. Dave Manning kept the scoreboard ticking over reaching his half century before being caught and bowled by Larcombe. Sean Cleave batted really well for 38 but the rest of the side contributed little and an all out score of 212 was only just about par. Tavistock's new overseas player Tokozani Peter and Lee Baker kept a tight rein on the early overs. Baker picked two wickets for 12 runs in seven overs — a great effort. Back up bowlers Sean Daymond and James McGahey bowled tight and tidy to restrict Axminster's runs and only Joel Seward with 67 gave them a flicker of hope. Two superb stumpings from Dave manning pegged Axminster further back and with Sean Cleave taking four for 23, they were all out for 150 giving Tavistock a win by 62 runs, enough to keep them top of the table.
