TAVISTOCK Hire only had to wait a week to take revenge on Plymouth Falcons and returned to the top of the table thanks to a fantastic display from keeper Shaun Moloney.

In an even opening 30 minutes Falcons had the first real change when a slip from John Francis allowed the Falcon striker through one on one with Hires keeper Moloney who dived to his left to tip the ball wide. Hire opened the score when a good flick from Dave Wilkinson found Jamie Rowe who swivelled and slammed the ball into the corner of the net from eight yards out.

The second half started strongly for Hire and they made it 2-0 when Will Pike played a 1-2 with Kurt Hadaway and from 18 yards Pike hit the top corner of the net.

Falcons pushed for an opening but hire stayed strong and should have made it 3-0 only for Hadaway to miss from four yards out.

Tavistock Hire's keeper Shaun Moloney then made two great saves in a frantic last 10 minutes to keep Hire firmly back in the title race.
