TAVISTOCK Golf Club hosted the first Devon County Triangular match when Devon men's team, junior and seniors teams come together to compete in this first ever competition.

Played in teams of eight the format was individual Stableford with all scores to count —results were close. 

The Juniors triumphed scoring 228 points, the men had 221 pts closely followed by the seniors with 215 pts.  Golfing conditions were not good but Graham Ruth, representing the seniors, scored the best score of the day with 35pts. 

In the men's Knape Medal Daniel Harrison was first in division one with a net 69; second Sam Hurdwell net 70 and third was Ed Smith with net 74 on count back from Ken Cole and Gary Pumford.  In division 2 Andy Down also had a net 69; second Julian Collison with net 71 on count back from Lee Bartlett.

The weather was not good for the ladies' Withington Bowl and medal.  Dawn Phillott was the trophy winner with a net 78 on count back from Gilly Jarvis. 

In the qualifying round of the Ping Pairs, the winning pair of Wendy George and Hilary Picton scored 37 pts on count back from Nicky Gawman and Jayne Wright.
