TAVISTOCK Amateur Boxing Club’s Will Trebilcock had his first competitive bout this weekend in Barum ABC’s event in Barnstaple.

Competing against Thomas Diamond from Synwell ABC, ten-year-old Will was the lighter boxer, giving away over a kilo, but his greater work rate and more accurate punching gave him the decision on all three judges’ cards.

It was a unanimous decision for Will, which is a good start to his competitive ambitions.
