THE Tamar Trails parkrun at Gulworthy has been seeing a large number of visitors lately. On the first week of August, 141 runners were present.

There were around 20 clubs represented from outside the area demonstrating, say organisers, that it is now firmly on the parkrun tourist map!

During the 43 weeks it has been ’running’ more than 161 clubs have been represented and the total distance run by participants is now more than 20,000 kilometres.

Also in the same week the parkrun had a wheelchair participant for the first time. Daniel Reeves managed to complete the course with much assistance from regular park runners on the steep and rough track that leads  to the finish —Daniel and helpers were well pleased to complete the course.
