MEMBERS of Tavistock Swimming Club received some recognition from the Lord Mayor of Plymouth with three awards for club youngsters.

Each year the City of Plymouth ASA puts on a series of swimming galas at the Life Centre in Plymouth to give swimmers the opportunity to compete against swimmers from other clubs in the association and to gain entry times for the Devon County Championships.

Following the galas, age group achievement awards are given by the Lord Mayor of Plymouth.

Resulting from their fantastic performance, this year three swimmers from Tavistock Swimming Club received awards — Alfie Morgan, who won in the boys intermediate age group (11-13 years); Sarah Teague received the girls award in the youth age group (14-16 years) and George Morgan achieved the senior boys award (17 years and over).
